Black Friday sale - EXTENDED - and new designs!

*Updated...what were we thinking?! Although we do feel everyone should be decked out in a tutu this holiday season, we realize there might be a few other things on your agenda this weekend besides ordering a tutu today! So we are extending our sale on holiday tutus through Monday night at midnight!

Don't miss out on ordering your holiday tutus today! Save 25% on any of our four holiday styles between 6:00 am, Friday, November 26th and 11:59 pm, Monday, November 29th, EST. Visit our Black Friday page for these special prices. Remember, if you want to order a tee, it must be purchased in combination with a tutu, and you must email me first to see if your size is still available. Email during sale hours, and your discount purchase price will be honored.

And if you're looking for Christmas gifts for all the special little girls in your life, you've come to the right place! We have several new designs!

The orange marmalade is an eye-popper, with bright orange sparkle and hot pink sparkle tulle!

Don't you just love this ribbon?

The updated ladybug makes her debut this Thanksgiving. This tutu is made entirely of sparkle red and sparkle black tulle, with this white sheer polka dot ribbon. The original ladybug is now the glitterbug and features silver tulle, as well.

Remember wild thing?

Well, too many late nights and WAY too many rolls of ribbon have induced far too deep discussions concerning the names of our little creations. I think we might just take ourselves a smidge too seriously. Nonetheless, we've revamped this collection, and the tutu formerly known as wild thing is now electric slide. Which makes room for the new wild thing.

Wait till you see the locomotion. It's made of black sparkle, purple and bright blue tulle, with the white zebra stripe ribbon.

Then we have the don't it make my brown eyes blue tutu, along with the pink and brown version, brown eyed girl.

Next, meet pretty in pink. Her sidekicks are it ain't easy being green, a pink and green combo, and purple rain, the purple and green edition.

And last, at least for today, is one of my very favorites...the bibbidy bobbidy tutu.

It is heavenly.

I searched high and low for just the right ribbon. It was as if I were searching for the illustrious princess herself. I finally found it. A gloriously sheer silver. And the slipper fit.

All that to say, the bibbidy bobbidy tutu will cost you a few extra bucks.

Trust me, it's worth it!

But, wait, there's more!

There's the black raspberry tutu, with hot pink sparkle and black sparkle tulle, complemented by a hot pink and black polka dot ribbon.

And the blossom tutu with mostly hot pink, with dabbles of light blue, yellow and apple green tulle. It is accented by the floral ribbon featured in the spring and sparkles collection.

You can also order the Mary-Kate featured in this post, and I will have a couple of tutu cute shirts available for purchase. I'll be adding buttons for these new designs to our shop page throughout the day. If you don't see what you're looking for listed on the shop page, just send me an email before placing your order.

Thanks to all of you who are praying, encouraging and sharing in this adventure with us! It may seem frivolous and far-fetched and we may appear to be having a grand old time (which we are), but please know that with every piece of tulle we twist and knot, we are very aware of the ways in which our heavenly Father is weaving His story and using so many already to bring little Mary-Kate home.

love this little turkey...

Happy Thanksgiving!

Being on the nice list...

...has its advantages. And because you've all been so super sweet and supportive of this little venture of ours, we wanted to do a little something to share the love...and the tulle. So this Friday, from 6 am to 6 pm, EST, we'll be offering 25% off all four of our holiday designs.

All of our holiday items will be listed on a special holiday page. After 6 pm Friday, you can still purchase holiday tutus at regular prices through Monday, December 13th.

We will also be offering a limited number of holiday tees in various sizes. The tees will be $10, and I will not charge additional shipping with the purchase of a tutu. Because I have no way of limiting the number of orders placed for tees, if you are interested in one of the tees listed on the holiday shop page, email me for availability first before ordering. If you email me between 6 am and 6 pm to request a shirt, I will honor the discount on the tutus after I have returned your email. Shirts must be ordered no later than December 7th.

One last thought...the infant sizing works best for our little princesses that are under a year old. Our infant pricing covers both our newborn and infant sizes. Our newborn tutus are approximately 6 inches in length, with a teeny waistband. Our infant tutus are about three inches longer. Much over the age of 12-15 months, most little ones will look best in one of our child tutus. Most of our child size waistbands are 20 inches around, but we can take them in a couple of inches or so. The length of the tulle on child tutus is about 12 inches, and they have lots more volume.

Hope this helps get you prepared to shop tomorrow! If you have any questions at all, please email me at contact.2000tutus@rocketmail.com.

You've been waiting...

...and you've been warned. In my humble opinion, these little Christmas numbers are irresistibly cute. I love them all, but my absolute favorite is the Holly Jolly Christmas tutu. It's a combination of sparkle red, sparkle green, neon green, silver and white tulle, with a festive little Christmas polka-dot ribbon! Call me crazy (again), but I'm thinking jingle bells sewn to the waist might be the finishing touch.

At least for Caroline's.

You should see what we do to the dog around here at Christmas.

And then I found a couple more cute little holiday tees, and it was all over.

And in case you missed the big reveal on Ni Hao Y'all, the Santa Baby tutu and the Let it Snow tutu are two more of our holiday designs. The Santa Baby looks pretty sweet with any of the tees. We have a few sizes in each style we'll be offering with our holiday tutus, beginning with our Black Friday sale. Details on the sale will be posted tomorrow.

And, last but not least, is the Can't Catch Me gingerbread inspiration of our very own four-year-old Miss Caroline.

One day while we were in the fabric store, waiting for endless yards of tulle to be cut, she wandered over to the button display and fell in love with these little gingerbread man buttons. The next thing you know she was bubbling over with ideas for a gingerbread man tutu.

And then Mindy found this little scarf to go with it. She won't be terribly broken-hearted if no one orders it. I might have to pry it out of her fingers. And she's a drummer. Her fingers are pretty strong, people.

So check back tomorrow for all the details on our holiday tutu Black Friday sale.

Hello? Is this thing on??

Would a Black Friday sale get somebody out there to give us a little love?

Leave a comment or two??

Saturday, November 20, 2010

oh, my...

...wait till you see our holly jolly tutu...I think I might just add jingle bells to Caroline's.

You might say we're having tutu much fun.

Have we worn that joke out yet?

Not that it would stop us.

it's beginning to look a lot...

...like Christmas around here, despite the beautiful fall leaves clinging to the trees. While we've been cranking turkey tutus out right and left, we just couldn't wait to reveal these sweet little holiday numbers. The snowflake tutu is a shimmering combination of sparkling blues, white and silver, and it is just delightful. If I weren't so old, I'd wear one myself.

If you haven't already done so, you might want to stop by and check out Stefanie's {30 days of giveaways} at Ni Hao Y'all! You can enter to win the snowflake tutu! Make sure you become a follower and leave a comment on today's post. She's giving away some truly wonderful items! So go. Go NOW. On second thought, forget I mentioned it.

While we're at it, here's a little sneak peek of our new candy cane tutu! I would have taken a few more photos of it, but just about as soon as we finished it, we sealed it up in a box and sent it on its way to Virginia!

We've got LOTS of new styles, including another holiday number or two, to reveal next week! And we have so many more ideas! Check back soon!

shake your tail feathers...

...with our new turkey tutu!

I know there are a lot of sweet little turkeys out there who would look absolutely adorable in this one! It's a festive little combo of wine, burnt orange and brown tulle, along with a fall plaid ribbon, and it's available in all sizes.

And if that's not enough to make you say gobble gobble...

...we have one special little tee in size 3T available for an additional $10 to the first lucky bird that snatches it up! You can purchase the turkey tutu separately on our shop page, but if you'd like to buy the tee, too, be the first to let us know with a comment on this post.

So, come on! We wanna see you shake your tail feathers!

ladybugs spotted...

...pardon the pun. The first photos of this year's tutu cute crop of ladybugs are rolling in, and we just had to share. These two little cuties are Darcy and Kylie! Kylie is one of Caroline's China sisters from Guangdong, but our families are, well, family...so as their family grows, so does ours...all that to say, we're pretty fond of our new little China sister, Darcy! Love you sweet little bugs!!

Speaking of growing, this little family is growing again! Since adopting Kylie in 2007, the M family has added Caleb and Darcy, and now they are waiting to adopt another little cutie. Some might say four little ones under the age of five is a little crazy. You might be right, but let me tell you...even though I'm completely put out with them for going back to China for a third time without me, I love them a little more because of their crazy. And I already loved them a lot.
